Penybont have been fined £450 by the Football Association of Wales (FAW) after their fans were found guilty of verbal discrimination during a European play-off final in May. The incident occurred during their match against Haverfordwest County on 2 May, where supporters allegedly used offensive language that "offended the dignity of a person or group".
What was the incident?
The FAW ruled that Penybont fans had breached behaviour rules by using "contemptuous, discriminatory or denigratory words" during the high-stakes play-off. The club admitted the breach, leading to the financial penalty and additional sanctions.
What are the consequences?
In addition to the £450 fine, the FAW has ordered a Penybont official to complete the FAW PAWB's Challenging Discrimination in Football course. The club has until 6 August 2026 to appeal the decision in writing.

Penybont, currently 13th in the Cymru Premier, will next face Cardiff MET away on 30 October 2026. The club has been working to address fan behaviour and promote inclusivity ahead of the new season.
